Tailandia: monos policias

altSe llama Santisuk y es el flamante oficial de Policía que vigila las calles del sur de Tailandia. Con su uniforme y sobre el patrullero, el mono ayuda a atrapar ladrones todos los días.

El animal tiene 5 años y trabaja en la provincia de Yala. Santisuk (“paz” en tailandés) fue adoptado por un policía cuando el mono se encontraba con uno de los brazos rotos.

A partir de ese momento recibió cuidados veterinarios y pronto comenzó a ser entrenado para atrapar ladrones. Su recompensa a cada trabajo realizado es una botella con leche.

Otros policías están pensando incluir monos durantes sus patrullajes ya que esta inusual acción sumó una buena imagen a la Policía local, quien intenta unir a la población divida por distintas religiones.
